Make sure you arrive on time or slightly early to get yourself familiar with the location and meet some new people. Maddie the Production Director of Adelaide Gang show will introduce them self and the Adelaide Gang Show production team, and after a small group singing, everyone one will be split into smaller groups and will work their way through the various audition stations.
Don't worry about being nervous! Everyone get nervous during their Auditions - even the Production team. We understand this is something which everyone can experience during the audition period. Our friendly production directors will be able to assist you in making your audition process as stress free as possible. Do not worry about messing up! Continue on through like nothing has happened, our Production team understands how nerving this process can be, and will take this into consideration during your Auditions.
What are the various stages through our Auditions?
Acting
You will get a small piece of paper with a small monologue, the Acting directors want to see if you can project your voice and use expression when talking. They may ask you to act out a short scenario, just to see how you present yourself acting
Singing
In the singing audition you are asked to sing a song to our music team. You can either prepare your own song, and bring some music along to sing to - or our team will have a small selection of songs to choose from.
Dancing
At this station, our Choreographic team will teach a short routine to you. You will run through the routine a few times to learn the various aspects. Do not worry if you can't master the dance, or make a few mistakes - smile and have some fun until you can pick it up again - Our Choreographic team are looking for how much fun you have, along with your dancing strengths.
Talk
This is one of the easier parts! It’s just a quick chat to see what scout or guide group you belong too, and a quick get to know you to find out some of your hidden talents or interesting aspects we can't see from the other stations. Prepare a joke and make our interviewees laugh!
